He was the former director of the Department of Medical Imaging at the 989th Hospital of Chinese People's Liberation Army Joint Logistic Support Force. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Zhengzhou University and a master's degree from the First Military Medical University, making him one of the earliest MRI postgraduate students in China. His supervisor was Professor Huang Qiliu, chairman of the Radiology Committee of the PLA. He has been engaged in CT and MRI diagnostics since 1986 and received a Third-Class Merit citation for his professional contributions. During his 16 years as Director of the Department of Medical Imaging, he was recognized as an “Outstanding Department Director” for eight years. The department under his leadership was designated as a municipal key specialty and received a collective Third-Class Merit citation. He has received numerous honors, including “Chief Expert in PLA Radiology,” the “PLA Radiology Merit Medal,” the “Outstanding Contribution Award” from the Radiology Branch of the Henan Medical Association, “Top Ten Inspirational Figures of the Hospital,” and “Top Ten Outstanding Municipal Physicians.” He has published more than 20 academic papers, received four military science and technology achievement awards, two medical achievement awards, and holds two national utility model patents. He has served as chief editor of three medical textbooks and co-editor of four additional publications.

He specializes in diagnostic imaging, including general radiography, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
