The Department of Respiratory Medicine at Sichuan Taikang Hospital is equipped with specialized diagnostic and treatment facilities, including respiratory inpatient ward, outpatient clinic, pulmonary function testing room, respiratory endoscopy suite, and sleep-disordered breathing monitoring room, all of which provide strong support for clinical diagnosis. During outbreaks of respiratory epidemics such as influenza and mycoplasma, the Department has provided timely and high-quality treatment to patients in the surrounding areas, offering strong medical support for respiratory diseases in the region.

Specialized Technical Services:

Sleep-disordered breathing monitoring and treatment: Targeting the growing population of obese individuals with sleep apnea syndrome, we provide effective diagnosis and early detection, followed by early treatment and intervention. We also offer products for obesity prevention and control, as well as for the prevention, control, and treatment of sleep apnea for relevant populations.

Pulmonary function testing room: We perform common pulmonary function tests such as lung volume measurement, pulmonary ventilation function testing, and diffusing capacity testing. These tests allow for early detection, prevention, treatment, and management of respiratory function. We also provide related products and technical consultation for relevant conditions.

Respiratory endoscopy suite: We perform bronchoscopic brushing, bronchoalveolar lavage, transbronchial lung biopsy, and local drug administration via bronchoscope. In the medium term, we plan to introduce interventional respiratory diagnostic and therapeutic techniques such as bronchoscopic balloon tamponade for hemostasis, bronchoscopic electrosurgery and argon plasma coagulation resection, and ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration and transbronchial biopsy.
