We provide support and protection for failing organs such as the heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys, including circulatory support techniques like cardiac function monitoring, emergency pacemaker insertion, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP). The Department has strong capabilities in the treatment of severe infections, sepsis, septic shock, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), acute respiratory failure, severe ARDS, acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, acute heart failure, severe arrhythmias, severe electrolyte and acid-base imbalances, acute severe pancreatitis, various severe acute poisonings, severe trauma, and perioperative critically ill patients.
Specialized Technical Services:
Invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring;
Respiratory function monitoring and respiratory support therapy;
Bedside blood purification, artificial airway humidification, real-time invasive intracranial pressure monitoring, regional cerebral oxygen saturation measurement, intra-aortic balloon pump, percutaneous tracheostomy, and intra-abdominal pressure measurement;
Ultrasound-guided deep vein and arterial catheterization, and ultrasound-guided puncture and drainage;
Hypothermia therapy, lower limb pressure pump for anti-thrombosis therapy, bedside cardiac pacing, and enteral nutrition via jejunostomy tube;
ECMO: Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, also known as extracorporeal life support, is the preferred treatment for patients with various acute biventricular failure combined with respiratory failure, especially suitable for rescue adjunctive therapy in patients with cardiac arrest.
